About · The publication

Research is only useful when it is willing to be wrong in public.

Brighthedge is an independent research publication covering equities and macro. It exists because most market commentary is either marketing or noise — and neither helps you make a decision. A thesis you can act on needs three things: a framework, the numbers behind it, and an honest account of what would break it. Brighthedge publishes all three, or it does not publish.

Two formats. Equity initiations take a single name and build the full case — the operating model, a bull / base / bear with explicit probabilities, a price target, and the catalysts and risks that move it. Macro thesis pieces connect a policy or flow regime — a central-bank path, a carry unwind, a disinflation glide — to real positioning across rates, FX, and equities.

One standard for both. Every figure is sourced. Every call carries a falsifier: a specific, observable event that, if it happens, means the thesis is wrong. When a thesis breaks, the correction runs as its own piece — not buried in a footnote of the next one. Coverage centers on US equities and cross-asset macro.

Brighthedge is written by a single analyst. That is a feature — one accountable view, no committee, no house line to defend. It is also a limit: this is one person's read of the market, not a research department, and it should be read that way.

Important — please read

Brighthedge is research and opinion, not investment advice. Nothing here is a recommendation, solicitation, or personalised advice, and the author may hold positions in the securities discussed. Investment research is regulated — in the US by the SEC marketing rule and the Investment Advisers Act, and elsewhere by the local equivalent. Consult a licensed professional before acting on anything here. None of this is legal advice.
